Search Engines: The Power of the Internet for Every-Day Investigations

Updated: Aug 4, 2021

When it comes to researching, Google is often the first and only search engine most individuals utilize. Inquisitive Intel aims to increase the parameters by leveraging all general and more specialized search engines available. In this publication, we will look at how we support clients by leaving no stone unturned.

The Variety of Search Engines

Different search engines yield different results. Thus, Inquisitive Intel aims to employ every possible tool to create a comprehensive data set. Although Google offers a more tailored return, it doesn't offer all the data available by conducting an extensive search.

Let's test this out. For this example, feel free to follow along.

  1. Open up three tabs in your web browser with three different search engines, Google, Bing, and DuckDuckGo.

  2. Next, type in a search query such as "best place to eat."

We have provided our findings below!

If you compare the results across the three search engines, you will notice they are quite contrasting, displaying different results from different sources. This is why the Inquisitive Intel team uses 26 different search engines to provide the full picture to our clients.
